Rock Slide Engineering is an American engineering and manufacturing company from North Logan, Utah, founded in 2004. It started from a simple observation: a lifted 4x4 on oversized tyres needs serious rocker protection, but people still have to climb into it comfortably. Instead of choosing between the two, Rock Slide combined them in a single product – and patented it.

Step Slider – the patented rock slider with a powered step

The brand's flagship product is the Step Slider: a full-strength rock slider built from laser-cut steel (10–11 gauge depending on the application) that automatically drops a step 12 inches (30 cm) when the door opens and retracts under the body when it closes. Each side carries up to 650 lbs (approx. 295 kg), and the internal components are made from stainless steel and aluminium to resist water, salt and mud.

The company has grown from a 4,000 sq ft shop to a facility of over 80,000 sq ft, equipped with fibre laser cutters, an automated AMADA line, press brakes, welding cells, and its own parts washing and powder coating systems. The entire process – from steel sheet to boxed product – happens under one roof in Utah. Hence the consistent "Made in the USA" on every product.

The warranty excludes removal and reinstallation costs, products fitted to the wrong vehicle, and modified or customised installations.
